Step 1: Download WordPress
Install the latest version of WordPress software in a jiffy.
Step 2: Upload files
There are two ways of uploading WordPress files on your server. Either you can unzip files on your computer on upload them on a dedicated server using an FTT program or you can upload a zipped file using the files manager utility and then unzip it on the server. The second process takes less time than the previous one.
Step 3: Create database and database user
Log into your cPanel and click on MySQL database wizard and create a database. Give user name and password to your newly created database.
Step 4: Change specifications
With the File Manager code editor, edit the wp-config.php. Change the database specifications such as database name, user name, and password in the wp-config.php file and save them.
Step 5: Fill in details
Make sure you fill in all details including the database name, database hostname, database username, and database password. Enter the site title, username, password, and email address for your WordPress Dashboard admin login.
Step 6: Installation complete
Click install WordPress, you will see a pop “WordPress has installed successfully”.
After installing a WordPress website on your dedicated server, you can go to the extras of the website and customize the way you wish your website to look.
